This ring was a commission from a friend of my mother's for her son's 30th birthday. She wanted a chunky silver ring, something simple but not too close to a wedding band.
I hand carved this ring from jewellers wax and had it cast in solid sterling silver. The shape is soft and organic with a subtle wave across the front of the ring. A hint of surfer style, but not too attention grabbing.
Carving from wax gives a lovely soft feel to the piece, and if a mould isn't made then the piece is unique.
I'm currently working on another carved one off ring as a commission, it's a lovely option either for a special birthday or for wedding jewellery, as each piece can be very subtly different.
