Russian Wedding Ring

I've had requests on and off for several years for rings that are joined together in what is often called a Russian wedding ring or 'rolling ring' style. I've now sourced the piece of equipment I need to join rings together, so am able to offer Russian wedding bands. These are lovely as a wedding ring or for everyday wear.

These always remind me of my childhood obsession with the jewellery in the Argo catalogue, there was a wide range of Russian wedding ring style bands and the kinetic nature of them is so appealing. 

The traditional Russian Wedding Ring or Triple Rolling Ring, has 3 bands in white, yellow and rose gold, to symbolise the Holy Trinity. The rings I am offering are a more modern interpretation, but they have the same lovely tactile feel as the rings roll over each other. I could make a Russian wedding band with 3 colours via special order. 

The potential options for this are huge, I have made up a couple of trial rings in 1mm and 1.2mm material, in silver and 9ct gold. For the moment these are sets of 2 rings, it would be possible to join more bands but I was surprised by how chunky they felt so I've stuck to sets of two as standard. A set of 3 in silver is also visible below.

I made a pair of wedding bands in this style a few years ago with two bands in sterling silver and one in 9ct yellow gold. I could make Russian wedding band style rings in 9ct or 18ct gold as well as sterling silver, in any mix of colours. 

These take a bit of getting used to when wearing them, but they do twist around each other in a very pleasing way. They are better a little bit larger so the bands have time to move, but with the slim bands from my standard listings they are still very comfortable.
