Iris Necklace - February Birth Flower - Sterling Silver

An oval coin necklace with an iris flower.

Some smaller irises are out very early in the year, but we associate them more with about May/June. There always seem to be lots at the Chelsea flower show.

The name comes from Greek mythology and the goddess Iris, who was a messenger.

They often come in purple or deep blue and so can be associated with royalty and nobility. The Victorian meanings include faith, hope and wisdom.
